PDF to Link FAQ

How do I use PDF to Link?

Choose a PDF, sign in, upload it, and copy the generated link. Anyone with the link can open the sharing page; if you enabled an access code, they must enter it first.

Is PDF to Link free?

Yes. The free plan supports up to 3 active files, each up to 1 GB, with links lasting 3 days. PDF uploads share this allowance with your other file uploads; they do not have a separate quota.

What is the maximum PDF file size?

Free users can upload a PDF up to 1 GB. Pro users can upload files up to 5 GB and keep up to 20 active files across all file types. Large PDFs may take longer to load in the browser.

How long does a PDF link last?

Free links last 3 days. Pro users can choose 3, 7, 14, or 30 days. Once the link expires, the document can no longer be previewed or downloaded through the sharing page.

Do recipients need an account?

No. You need to sign in to upload and manage files, but recipients can preview or download a shared PDF without an account. Protected links require the access code supplied by the sender.

Can recipients download the original PDF?

Yes. The sharing page has a download button for the original PDF. The document is not converted, compressed, or rewritten by this tool.

What if the PDF preview does not work?

Embedded PDF viewing depends on your browser and device. Use Open PDF in a new tab or Download original PDF if the viewer is blank or unsupported. A password-encrypted PDF may also require its document password in the viewer or a local PDF reader.

Can I protect or delete a PDF link?

Pro users can add an access code before uploading. You can delete an uploaded PDF from your active links list to stop further access through the sharing page. Deleting it does not remove copies that recipients have already downloaded.
